Technical Committee (TC)

The goal of the Technical Committee (TC) is to facilitate and improve:

  1. Bi-directional communication between the National Syndromic Surveillance Program (NSSP) Community of Practice (CoP) and CDC’s NSSP to ensure that syndromic surveillance data management, analysis, visualization and reporting needs are met.
  2. Community task prioritization; As planned, this committee would receive and review summary reports from NSSP about pending developments or enhancement, both known to CDC as well as those submitted by users into JIRA. This process will give all users an understanding of how widespread a need is across jurisdictions, a forum to discuss preferred solutions and  insight into development timelines for needed functionality.
  3. Facilitating user requests that should be directed to other relevant partner group for action.
  4. Feedback turn-around to NSSP CoP and ISDS members.

Meetings will be set quarterly.

Information on the group’s meeting agendas, meeting notes, and meeting recordings can be found on the group's home page.
