Anthrax Assist: Modeling Tool for Planning and Decision Support During Early Days of an Anthrax Event

Anthrax Assist provides public health practitioners with scenario- and jurisdiction-specific information for developing quantitative response plans and decision-making in an unfolding anthrax event. It combines inhalational anthrax caseload projections (based on initial case reports), effects of variable post-exposure prophylaxis campaigns, and healthcare facility surge capacity requirements, to project hospitalizations and casualties from a newly detected inhalation anthrax event.  In this webinar, Gabriel Rainisch demostrates the tool using a realistic illustrative scenario in which the consequences of various intervention choices are examined.
